What Framers Need to Know Before Truss Day

  • Confirm where the truss company dropped the bands so our operator can position the turntable between the truss stack and the tie beam.
  • Keep overhead temporary power poles and pump-truck lines clear of the front setback.
  • Every rig carries heavy timber/composite cribbing to stabilize outriggers on fresh sandy backfill.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on sizing, minimums, rigging, and scheduling an operated mobile crane.

Can one crane setup reach the entire footprint of a 3,500+ sq ft custom home?

With a 35T–50T hydraulic truck crane and jib, we can usually set the entire truss package from a single front driveway or street setup, provided the truss bands are staged within reach.

Do your operators work on hand signals or radios with the lead framer?

Both. Our NCCCO-certified operators are fluent in standard OSHA crane hand signals and also carry two-way radios for blind rear-elevation sets.

How far in advance should we book once we get our truss delivery date?

We recommend booking 3 to 5 days ahead of your scheduled truss drop, though we frequently accommodate next-day framing slots when weather shifts schedules.
